“Meet Our Model”
Michele Starrett
aka Emily Littleton

I began my career in the modeling industry at a young age, developing a passion for fashion. I enjoyed sketching my own designs and immersing myself in the world of style. To pursue my dream, I attended Barbizon Modeling School during high school, where I mastered the fundamentals of modeling and gained confidence on the runway. Afterward, I participated in numerous photo shoots and runway shows, which deepened my appreciation for this art form.
In addition to my modeling career, I furthered my education by attending college, where I studied fashion merchandising and promotion. This combination of practical experience and academic knowledge has enabled me to navigate the fashion industry successfully and to continue evolving as a model.
One of my most memorable shoots occurred when I joined a project without expectations. I arrived at the location bare-faced, my hair straightened, simply curious about the day ahead. The team was warm and valet-parked my car, instantly making me feel valued. Despite initial nerves, it became one of the best shoots I’ve ever experienced. The chemistry and creative energy elevated the atmosphere, transforming the experience into something remarkable. It taught me that embracing the unexpected brings the most memorable moments.
Throughout my modeling career, I faced various challenges that pushed me to grow both personally and professionally. One significant challenge was balancing my modeling commitments with my desire to pursue further education. After years in the industry, I decided to return to college and earn my master's degree to become a registered nurse. This decision stemmed from my passion for helping others and my belief in empowering individuals to become the best version of themselves through compassionate nursing care.

Juggling the demands of modeling with my academic pursuits was no small feat, but it taught me valuable lessons in time management and perseverance. It also reinforced my commitment to supporting others, whether on the runway or in a healthcare setting. Ultimately, I believe that both modeling and nursing allow me to express my creativity and make a positive impact on people's lives.
“Preparing for a photo shoot is a lot like preparing for everyday life: it involves a commitment to fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being. I prioritize regular workouts that include strength training and cardio, as these not only help me maintain my physique but also boost my confidence in front of the camera”.
In addition to my fitness routine, I pay close attention to my diet, ensuring I fuel my body with nutritious foods that enhance my energy levels and overall appearance. Hydration is also key: I make sure to drink plenty of water leading up to a shoot.
On the day of the shoot, I focus on getting a good night's sleep to feel rested and alert. I also make time for grooming, whether it's skincare or hairstyling, to ensure I present my best self. Ultimately, I believe that a combination of physical preparation, mental focus, and self-care allows me to shine in front of the camera and deliver my best performance.”

Each photo shoot is a way to “tell a story”. Storytelling, however, goes beyond just posing for the camera; it's about conveying emotions and narratives through visuals. Each shoot presents a unique opportunity to embody a character or theme, allowing me to connect with the audience on a deeper level.
I often think of the concept behind the shoot- what the designer or photographer aims to communicate-and I immerse myself in that vision. Whether it’s portraying strength, vulnerability, joy, or mystery, I draw from my own experience and emotions to bring authenticity to the images.

During a shoot, I collaborate closely with the creative team, including the stylist, makeup artist, and photographers, to create a cohesive story. The lighting, wardrobe, and even setting roles in shaping the narrative.
Ultimately, I believe that great modeling captures a moment in time and tells a story that resonates with viewers. “It's a powerful way to connect with people and provoke thought or emotion through art.”
Inspiration?! “I find immense inspiration in models who embody diversity and resilience. These individuals often face unique challenges, yet they continue to pursue their dreams with unwavering determination. Their journeys remind me that beauty comes in many forms and that each experience shapes who we are.
I aspire to channel that same energy in my own career, using my platform to advocate for diversity and encourage others to embrace their uniqueness. Inspiring models remind me that modeling is not just about aesthetics; it's about representing the rich tapestry of human experiences and celebrating our differences.
